The removal of the Tram Information Boards from Leith walk has led to a frank admission from tie that, "Until a more definitive timetable has been agreed for the tram works, there is little point in continuing to keep out-of-date notice boards on the street", according to an article in the Edinburgh Evening News on 30 July:

tie has also moved to quash any suggestion that there is any significance in the fact that only the boards on Leith Walk have thus far been removed, by claiming that, "We are still fully committed to delivering the whole route of the tram.".
